Days 1, 2, 3

Begin your trip with a visit to Boston. One of the shortest flights from the UK (around 7 hours non stop) you will arrive fresh and just raring to get your New England adventure underway. Spend your time wandering the Freedom Trail, absorbing the history of a city that played a key role during the American Revolution. Marvel at the juxtaposition as historical landmarks and museums blend seamlessly with the trendy bars and restaurants of this urban city. Days 3, 4, 5, 6

This morning you will collect your car rental, and head over to Cape Cod. Less than a two hour drive, you should stop en-route at Plymouth, where the first pilgrims settled, and where the very ideology of American as a beacon to the rest of the world first took root. Use your onward time at Cape Cod to visit the shops and galleries of Provincetown, home of the Mayflower landing, explore the coastal beaches and, if in season (April-October), arrange a tour to view the humpback whales, and all the other marine activity that make up this stunning region.   

Days 6, 7, 8

Today drive to the ferry crossing from Woods Hole across to Martha's Vineyard for a true island escape, a place for you to reconnect with nature and the perfect end to your itinerary. Enjoy the stunning harbour towns, iconic lighthouses, famous cliffs at Aquinnah, sandy beaches, and enjoy a relaxing finish to an insightful journey.

Day 8

Today you drive back to Boston, and drop off your car hire at the airport for your evening flight back to reality.
